Physiotherapists are trained to assess, diagnose and treat your movement injury and help you return to optimal function. The treatment techniques they may use include: manual therapy, exercise prescription, intramuscular stimulation (IMS) or dry needling, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrotherapy.

The RMTs require a minimum treatment length of 45 minutes to assess and treat new patients. Please do not book a 30 min. appointment if you are a new patient.

Winnie graduated from McGill University in 1999. She has considerable experience in out-patient orthopedic physical therapy working with an assortment of private, MSP, ICBC and WorkSafe BC clients. Her treatments implement manual therapy along with exercise and education. She is working towards an advanced manual therapy diploma and has post-graduate training in the examination and treatment of women with urinary incontinence. She has also completed training in Clinical Pilates, a program for physical therapists accredited by the Australian Physical Therapy Association. She is a certified Gunn IMS (Intra-muscular stimulation) practitioner. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and has a workable knowledge of Mandarin.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Canada and a Master of Science degree in the United States, Yung decided to pursue a career in the health care profession. His education background has afforded him a scientific foundation for further studies in human anatomy, kinesiology and health and clinical sciences. He completed the 3000-hours program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2008.

Yung has experiences working in the BC Women’s Hospital with prenatal patients, Vancouver General Hospital with burn and trauma patients, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre for acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injuries, Friends For Life Society for people with life threatening illness.

Edris is extremely passionate about massage therapy and truly loves his work. He is enthusiastic about helping people and feels privileged that he is able to introduce the benefits of massage to a wide range of patients. Edris is a graduate of West Coast College of Massage Therapy where his graduation research study, which focused on treatment of peroneal tendinopathy, won the runner up award at the clinical case report competition from the Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia. He has experience treating patients with chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, overuse conditions, fibromyalgia, headaches as well as orthopedic and sport related injuries. In 2013, Edris had the opportunity to be part of the massage team at the Ride to Conquer Cancer, Workout to Conquer Cancer, and Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.

Edris also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University with a major in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. He prides himself on staying up-to-date with the latest scientific research, and hopes to bridge the gap between evidence based science and holistic therapy in his practice. He utilizes a variety of modalities during treatments, including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, joint mobilizations, active/passive stretching and deep tissue therapy.

Jason graduated from the Master of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology programs at the University of British Columbia. He is motivated to help his clients become engaged in their rehabilitation process and achieve their personal goals, whether that is returning to work/sports or optimizing physical functions. His philosophy is to create an individualized treatment program for his clients by using manual techniques, exercise prescription, intramuscular stimulation (IMS), education and injury prevention.

Being an avid learner, Jason has advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders/TMD, functional dry needling and manual therapy. Jason has taken post-graduate courses relating to mobilizations with movement, soft tissue release and has completed the Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy Level 1 and 2 (upper quadrant), with plans on continuing the orthopedic levels in the future. Jason is trained in Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and is a national certified badminton coach. During his spare time, he enjoys trail running, skiing, playing volleyball, hiking and badminton.
